Who & What

PASTORS & STUDENT’S TESTIMONIES:

NECCSoM has been such a blessing to us at Grace Bible Fellowship for many reasons. It has provided us with the ability to disciple many more people than we would otherwise be able to handle. It has been the springboard for many to begin serving, using the gifts God has given them, in the body. I look forward to seeing what the LORD will continue to do in our fellowship and in the other Calvary Chapels in New England.
Pastor Jay Runyan
Grace Bible Fellowship, Tilton, NH

I can’t say enough good things about NECCSOM. As a proctor, I get to listen in on the classes, and I am continually blown away by the level of scholarship. The breadth of knowledge that each instructor brings to the classroom, combined with their years of ministry experience, makes the school truly unique. I can’t think of a better program than this to prepare students for the rigors of ministry.
”Pastor Jared Cassidy New Hope Chapel, Alton, NH

The School of Ministry is a place where His wisdom, knowledge &
understanding are taught by biblically sound & educated pastors who delight
in The Lord. Their individual teaching always comes with encouragement that
strengthens students, all while maintaining Christ Jesus at the center, which I
am grateful for.

NECCSoM has changed the way I digest my spiritual food. What a blessing!

I found Jesus as a terrible drug addiction 19 years ago.  I was brought up reformed Jewish attended synagogue every week.  I was Bar Mitzvah at the Wailing Wall.  I’ve always believed in God, but life circumstances dragged me away and left me empty.  My eyes were opened in a horrible place and I surrendered to Jesus.  It’s been an amazing journey, and I’ve always been hungry to learn who God is and what His purpose is for me….  NECCSOM has been an opportunity to learn from some incredible Pastors and become friends with men in my church who are seeking similar enlightenment. The lessons and books so far have helped me become a better 3rd and 4th grade Sunday school teacher and recovery coach and accountability partner.

WHY A SCHOOL OF MINISTRY IN NEW ENGLAND?

The New England Calvary Chapel School of Ministry (NECCSoM) has been formed as an
intentional way to strengthen & support the Calvary Chapels of New England & to assist
in raising up the next generation of church planters missionaries, pastors, and other staff
here in New England and Lord willing, across the country and around the world.

NECCSoM is a two year program located at participating New England Calvary Chapels
that is both academic and practical believing that ministry can be both taught while
sitting in a class and caught while serving in a church.

NECCSoM is unique in how it delivers this experience with each participating Calvary
Chapel serving as a hub live learning & living out what was learned. Students attend
classes at their own churches.

The vision for NECCSoM is for it to be a place that supports Calvary Chapels  in the
present and supplies servants to Calvary Chapels in the future.

CHARLES SPURGEON ON
“WHY A SCHOOL OF MINISTRY”

The college aims at training preachers rather than scholars: to develop the faculty of ready speech, to help them understand the Word of God, and to foster the spirit of consecration, courage, and confidence in God. These objects are so important that we put all other matters into a secondary position.

No work can possibly bestow a greater benefit upon mankind than the training of ministers whom God has chosen, for around them spring up churches, schools, and all the agencies of religion and philanthropy. As we are commanded to pray for laborers in the Lord’s harvest, so are we bound to prove the honesty of our prayers by our actions .
